Having had many enquiries over the past few years around groups, myself and some colleagues have started an online Coping Skills Group which is informed by Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). If you would be interested in joining the online group please complete the form at the bottom of this page or click on the logo below to visit Liminal Therapieswho I run the group with.
The group meet weekly on a Thursday evening from 7:30pm to 9:30pm on Zoom. The group is typically run by myself and my colleague Emma Brooks (from Liminal Therapies) and has space for between 8 and 12 participants. The group is open to all, however, should there be enough interest we will also offer an LGBTQ+ specific group alongside this (time and date to be confirmed).
We work with a network of Skills Trainers and DBT Therapists who on occasion may facilitate the groups, if myself or Emma are away. Typically there will be two Skills Trainers and up to 12 participants.
What does the Coping Skills Group offer?
A space to learn new skills to help with managing strong emotions, coping with moments of crisis and distress, as well as working on improving relationships and maintaining boundaries.
The Skills Group runs across three modules which are DBT informed.
The group meets weekly for 2 hours with a short break in the middle.
At the end of each module you will be offered a one to one review session to explore any challenges you’ve experienced during the module around skills and to review your goals before continuing to the next module.

End of Module 1-2-1 Review Session: £65
9 Week Distress Tolerance Module
9 Week Emotion Regulation Module
9 Week Interpersonal Effectiveness Module
