Course Dates and Fees

Dates are yet to be confirmed, however should you wish to commission a course via Zoom exclusively for your employees or organisation, we charge a fee of £180 per person with a minimum requirement of 6 participants per course. The course typically runs over two consecutive days, however this can be adapted on request into shorter blocks.

Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support and Safe Use of an Automated External Defibrillator (RQF)

In line with international resuscitation guidelines, the Level 2 Award equips individuals with crucial skills in Basic Life Support (BLS) and the safe use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). This qualification is tailored for those who may need to provide emergency support in workplaces, community settings, or in any environment where these skills can save lives.

Course Overview

This focused half-day course enables learners to develop the knowledge and hands-on skills needed to manage emergency situations involving cardiac arrest. The course covers:

  • Techniques for managing unresponsive casualties, including adults and children.
  • Comprehensive training in performing CPR and using an AED effectively.
  • Integrating BLS with AED skills for a swift and effective emergency response.

Intended Audience

This course is designed for individuals with specific responsibilities at work or in volunteer roles that may involve emergency medical care, such as first aiders, event coordinators, and community health advocates.

Assessment and Certification

Learners will be evaluated through 3 practical assessments covering CPR, AED use, and managing recovery positions. Successful candidates will receive a nationally recognised certification, valid for one year, affirming their competence in Basic Life Support and AED usage.
